Bow String & Cable Replacement
Short answer: strings and cables wear out even when a bow looks fine — plan on replacing them every 1 to 2 years if you shoot regularly, sooner if you see fraying or fuzzing.

Strings and cables are consumable parts. They stretch, fray, and lose consistency with use, and a worn string can quietly throw off your accuracy long before it looks obviously damaged.
Every replacement includes a full tune afterward — cam timing, nocking-point position, and rest alignment all shift slightly with a new string, so we don't consider the job done until it's confirmed shooting straight.

Common Questions
How often should I replace my bowstring and cables?+
As a general guideline, active shooters should plan on new strings and cables every 1 to 2 years. Heavy use, visible fraying, fuzzing, or a change in your bow's sound or performance are all signs it's time sooner.
How do I know if my bow needs new strings?+
Look for fraying, fuzzing, or serving separation, and pay attention to inconsistent groups or a change in draw feel. If you're not sure, bring it in and we'll take a look at no charge.
Will a new string change my draw length or peep position?+
It can, slightly, especially if the old string had stretched significantly. That's why we recheck and adjust your nocking point and peep alignment as part of every string replacement.
